Waitrose is a chain of British supermarkets, which forms the food retail division of Britain’s largest employee-owned retailer, the John Lewis Partnership. Its head office is located in Bracknell, Berkshire, England.As of February 2015, Waitrose has 344 branches across the United Kingdom, including 30 “little Waitrose” convenience stores, and a 5.1% share of the market, making it the sixth-largest grocery retailer in the UK. Waitrose first established a presence in Dubai with the opening of a large store in The Dubai Mall in November 2008. Prior to 2008 Spinneys and Waitrose had established a partnership with Waitrose products being supplied in Spinneys stores. Waitrose plans to have 20 supermarkets in Dubai, the UAE, and the Gulf region by 2020. Waitrose stores in the UAE are operated by Fine Fare Food Market LLC under license from Waitrose Ltd in the UK.
